Grifols is a leading supporter of education at the CBR

In the past 2 years, Grifols (formerly Talecris Biotherapeutics) has led the way in contributing unrestricted funds to support our undergraduate summer students participating in research in CBR labs and clinics, the CBR weekly seminar series, and the recently established Collaborative Translational Training Awards program. Through the efforts of this extraordinarily dedicated partner, numerous students at all levels of training at the CBR have had the opportunity to work with world-class investigators at UBC and to experience first-hand, the joys and challenges of science. We are confident that these budding scientists will be the leading investigators of the future.

GrifolsGrifols was founded in Barcelona, Spain in 1940 in the aftermath of the Spanish civil war, specializing in the creation of tools for clinical analyses and in the process of blood transfusions. Grifols is now a global healthcare company whose mission is to improve the health and well being of people around the world. They accomplish this mission by producing life-saving protein therapies for patients and by providing hospitals, pharmacies and healthcare professionals with the tools they need to deliver expert medical care.

In the past 6 months, Grifols has donated additional unrestricted funds to the CBR that were used to support more summer students and to extend our Translational Research Program that is designed to encourage interactions between CBR groups.
