Research & Training

Graduate & Post-Graduate Studies

CBR believes in listening to their students and postdoctoral fellows to create the research and educational environment conducive to academic and personal growth, development and learning.

The interdisciplinary nature of the CBR provides a multitude of opportunities for graduate and post-graduate students and clinical trainees to perform high-quality research in a stimulating academic environment. The CBR includes over 40 senior investigators with appointments in the Faculties of Science, Applied Science and Engineering, Arts, Dentistry, Medicine and Pharmaceutical Sciences, with research groups located in well-equipped labs at the UBC Point Gray Campus, the affiliated Vancouver clinical and teaching hospitals and the BC Cancer Agency. There are also research nodes at the University of Northern British Columbia and at the University of Victoria.

Graduate or post-graduate students or clinical trainees (MDs) wishing to work with faculty members in the CBR are encouraged to directly contact individual investigators or the CBR Director to discuss career plans and research endeavours.
