Dana Devine appointed Editor-in-Chief of Vox Sanguinis

VoxSanguinisWe are pleased to announce that Professor Dana Devine, a founding member of the CBR, Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at UBC, and the VP Medical, Scientific & Research Affairs at the Canadian Blood Services, has been appointed Editor-in Chief of Vox Sanguinis, effective in 2012.

Vox Sanguinis, the official journal of the International Society of Blood Transfusion, reports on critical and novel developments in transfusion medicine, including all aspects of blood transfusion and tissue transplantation. The International Society of Blood Transfusion is the premier international professional society for the field encompassing transfusion and transplantation science and medicine. Founded in 1935, it has a long and respected history of achievement, bringing together more than 2000 professionals from over 95 countries.

Dana DevineDana brings extraordinary skills, talent and knowledge to Vox Sanguinis. In her capacity as a leading laboratory investigator in platelet biology, complement biochemistry and blood coagulation, Dana has a deep appreciation of the value of high-quality science. In her position at the CBS, she has gained invaluable insights into the complex demands facing transfusion and transplantation medicine throughout the world, and clearly has her finger on the pulse of medical advances and emerging technologies in the field. She will no doubt do a spectacular job as she dons yet another transfusion-related hat! Congratulations!
