The American Society of Hematology (ASH) hosted more than 18,000 hematologists, health-care professionals and scientists from a wide array of disciplines for its 54th Annual Meeting at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta in December 2012.
A major feature of this meeting is the Education and Scientific Program, which is uniformly considered key for the meeting’s success. The highest quality presentations are delivered by leaders in the field of hematology, who provide the most up-to-date news and views of new therapies, challenges and visions of the future.
Organizing such a mammoth event to satisfy the broad and demanding needs of the ASH community can be no easy task. We are proud and impressed that Dr. Agnes Lee, Associate Professor of Medicine, Director of the Thrombosis Program at VGH, and CBR member, took on this enormous responsibility as co-Chair. By all accounts, Aggie and her team created a spectacular program that has established a new benchmark for excellence. The impact of her contributions were immediately felt by about 18,000 grateful attendees, and the new knowledge that they have gained will be felt even wider as their students, colleagues and patients reap the benefits.
Aggie – Congratulations! And thanks!!
